This week I have Jill from Good Life for Less sharing her favorite makeup products. I started reading Jill’s blog right after reading this post; I loved her honesty and I immediately related to her on many ways. So, make sure to check out her blog, she’s a mommy with great style!
What’s your current makeup bag?
I have a million makeup bags floating around here (am I the only one?)… but I’ve found that this Stephanie Johnson one is the exact size that I need, so it gets the most use. Plus Stephanie Johnson’s fabrics and finishes are so gorgeous and classy. I also have a set of these funky Fossil makeup bags that get a lot of use as well for travel or in my gym bag.
Do you have a makeup tip or secret you would like to share?
I am admittedly no “pro” when it comes to make up, so I keep it really simple and unfussy. That way I can’t mess it up… I will say that an eyebrow comb and eyelash curler are my “secret” weapons. They are inexpensive and easy to use and always spruce up my eyes without fail. I could use those two items on a “no makeup” day and still feel better fairly put-together.
Any particular makeup trend that you’re looking forward for spring/summer?
For spring and summer I am loving bold lips… I’m not usually a lipstick wearer, but lately it’s really grown on me as a simple way to spruce up my look for the day. I just bought a tube of Revlon’s Colorstay Lip Butter and I’m sure I will be using it a lot this summer. It is perfectly light and moisturizing with great color! “Sweet Tart” is my favorite color (so far…).
How does your day makeup routine differs from your night time one?
It doesn’t really… I usually just up-cycle the days’ look by adding some blush or bronzer and a lip color and call it good.
*Thanks so much Jill! Nars in orgasm is my next blush purchase 😉
