Saturday was the race, and I’m still not 100% sure what happened but I can almost swear that I came in second and not in third as the official results say. I was on first place all the time until someone dropped from the sky (it was big surprise and didn’t see it coming) and passed me with just 1.5 k to go (the race was actually 12.5 km and not 11km). I did what I could to pass her, but at this point we were going down on a muddy and steep downhill followed with countless river crossings, so, long story short, no first place for me. As for the 2nd person who finished the race, it must have been a ghost, I swear. Nevertheless, I had fun, and this weekend I’m doing another race 😉
Tapas were insanely good, though I think we got carried away with the amount of food. Note to self: 14 dishes for 6 people is a LOT of food, especially when you consider that there’s one vegetarian (me) and one wheat intolerant person.
How was your weekend? Hope you had a great one!
