Easiest Way to Wear Lightweight Dresses All Year Long

summer to fall dressing

Want to know the easiest way to wear your lightweight dresses all year long? Yesterday I shared my favourite Fall “hack” to make the most out of your dresses and how to carry them over from one season to the next so today I’m bringing you six styled looks to show you how simple it is to achieve the look. Some people can pull off the oversized sweater but I think that a cropped one is the best choice and the type the flatters all different bodies the most. Zipping up a leather jacket on top or wearing a soft oversized cardigan is another great alternative, but nothing as easy as throwing on your favourite cozy sweater and calling it a day!

A cropped or slightly cropped chunky sweater paired with a silk or satin dress brings interest to the outfit thanks to the contrast of textures. You can definitely do heels if the occasion asks for it, but I particularly love the look with booties (like these or these) or sneakers (like these or these). For a successful Summer to Fall/Winter transition and to finish off the look, throw on a wool fedora like this one or a cute newsboy cap like this one. Hope these looks inspire you and give you ideas on how to wear your lightweight dresses this Fall and Winter!
